Introduction
Dump trucks, also known as dumper trucks or tipper trucks, are heavy-duty vehicles designed to transport bulk materials such as dirt, sand, gravel, and other construction materials. These trucks have a tilting or sliding body that can be raised and lowered to dump the contents of the truck’s bed. Dump trucks are commonly used in construction sites, mining operations, and other industrial applications where large amounts of materials need to be moved.
The bodies of dump trucks are made of steel and can range in size from small, lightweight trucks to large, heavy-duty models. Some dump trucks have a hydraulic system that allows the body to tilt or slide, while others use a manual or semi-automatic system. The size and capacity of dump trucks can vary greatly, with some models capable of carrying loads of up to 40 tons or more.
